  • Responsibilities:

    Poll Clerks

    1. To assist the chair of the Credentials Committee.
    2. To assist in the counting of recorded votes.
    3. To assist the returning officer in the distribution, collection, and counting of election ballots.
    4. To monitor participants attending the Annual Meeting to ensure that the proper credentials are displayed.
    5. To assist in the counting of delegates to ensure that a quorum is in place prior to the start of each session.
    6. To assist in the distribution and collection of materials to/from delegates.
    7. To assist the chair in maintaining a speakers list.
    8. To assist the chair in timing speakers.

     Assistants:

    1. To assist the chair of the Steering, Resolutions, or Credentials Committee in carrying out the responsibiliites assigned to the committee.
    2. To assist the Annual Meeting Committee in carrying out its responsibilities in the operation of the Annual Meeting.
    3. Should have prior experience as a poll clerk.

     

  • This is a voluntary position, and all expenses will be paid per Federation guidelines. Selected candidates are expected to attend a training session at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon prior to the Annual Meeting and plan to be available for every session of the Annual Meeting. Poll clerks will also be needed to distribute materials prior to the start of each session. Since poll clerks and assistants are volunteering for the provincial Federation and conducting votes, they are not able to participate in social events with their locals during the Annual Meeting.

  • Please note: Successful applicants must be available to be on-site at the hotel from Sunday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. through Thursday, August 14, inclusive.
